JAN-MAR 2016 Custom Fabrication News
Our fabrication team have had a great start to the year so far! 2015 finished on a high note with the creation of a new branding iron for the Hewitt Cattle Company (Images 1-2). The team's first custom order for 2016 came from the Department of National Parks with the fabrication of a purpose built heavy duty enclosed Utility Trailer for Park Ranger use at the Carnarvon National Park (Images 3-5).
Over the last three months Jones Welding has been involved in a few events around the district through the organisation of sponsorship and donations. Our recent creation was auctioned off in support of 'Red' Day hosted by the Bymount Community Recreation Association to raise money for RACQ Care Flight in memory of our mate Jeff 'Red' Dean. The chair is a one-off design crafted by our very own Paul Jones and, thanks to some generous support, topped the Auction! The latest of our special orders have been produced by Paul and Darcy Jones. Both are creatively unique, carefully designed to exact specifications of the customer to produce the high quality finish. The first was a steel template of a helicopter created by Darcy which formed the head & tail of a decorative windmill created by another talented local which was also donated to the 'Red' day Auction. The second item was a steel template of a dachshund, created by Paul to grace the entry of Sophie Hartley’s home at 'Kinka' along with her brand 5EM (Image 6).
Last but not least the newest custom-made, built to last, purpose-built trailer was picked up mid-March by its new owner in Wallumbilla (Image 7-11). The 3.5 tonne, dual axle tandem wheel trailer with fixed headboard, removable rear builder's rack and drop sides with tie-down rails, steps each side at front and Alum checker plate capping on sideboards was built by our fabrication team with quality all-Australian products & materials.
